About the Role
We're looking for a Tradesperson to join our team in Christchurch. You'll work within our HV&I group, with a main focus on workshop tasks and the opportunity to support field work when required. It's a varied, hands-on role where you'll help keep equipment and materials ready for our team.
You'll be involved in:
- Completing a range of workshop tasks to support the HV&I team.
- Assisting with mechanical manufacture, fabrication and assembly work.
- Supporting scheduled and emergency field work when required.
- Working to Orion technical requirements and Connetics standards.
- Ensuring equipment and documentation are available when needed.
- Supporting other HV&I team members and sharing technical knowledge.
About You
You're practical, hands-on and enjoy working as part of a team. You take pride in doing a good job, work safely and are happy to help where needed.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- A current driver's licence.
- Experience in a hands-on trades or workshop environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- A practical approach to problem-solving and a willingness to pitch in.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.
Experience in mechanical manufacture, fabrication or assembly work would be an advantage. A current Orion EAC would also be desirable.
