About the Role
We're looking for Line Mechanics to join our team delivering construction, maintenance, and fault response across electrical distribution networks from 400V to 66kV.
You'll be involved in:
- Overhead line construction, maintenance, and upgrades
- Fault response and network restoration
- Live low-voltage work (400V networks)
- High-voltage switching, isolation, and access procedures
- Working with EWP and climbing techniques
- Travel where required to support the network
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience in overhead line work across construction, maintenance, or faults
- EWRB licence (or working towards it)
- Good understanding of safety standards and electrical regulations
- Experience with distribution networks, EWPs, or HV work is an advantage
- Positive attitude, reliable, and keen to learn and develop
What's on Offer
- $35.39–$43.26/hr + overtime + allowances
- Overtime: T1.5 after 8 hrs + weekends, T2 after-hours fault work + 24/7 fault roster opportunities
- Standard working hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, with most work based around the Christchurch area
- Training, licensing support, and clear progression with pay increases as you advance in grade
- Relocation support to help you move from AKL to Christchurch
